Finally got this to happen while debugging.


if (this.ListBoxInstances.SelectedItems.Count > 0)
 
Added a check to see if XMPPClient is connected before enumerating through these items.
 
What I found odd was that selected items' count was 0, yet I know I had selected an item to send the message to.
